Terry Semel resigns, Yahoo Stock shoots up

Today Terry Semel announced his resignation as CEO of Yahoo! and shares are more then $2 in after hours trading. Jerry Yang, Yahoo! co-founder and long-time board member, was named CEO.

Semel will assume the position of non-executive Chairman and serve as an adviser and important resource for the company’s senior management team, while also working closely with the Board.
