Pet Shop Boys Entertainers, not Politicians

Pet Shop Boys get it! They understand that they are musicians, not politicians.

“I’ve always been against the ideas of rock stars lecturing people as if they know something the rest of us don’t - it looks arrogant.”

“It’s not as if they have a private source of information. To state the obvious as if you are the only person that knows it is intellectually weak.”

- Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys

You are paid to entertain, not to run your mouth about a topic that you think is cool or you have taken a quick 5 minute interest in. It’s about time that a band stands up and says enough is enough! Just look at Live Earth, it’s a one-sided political issue being used to raise Al Gore’s celebrity in a possible run for the White House in 08. Why not have a bi-partisan concert topic? Oh, I am sorry. I forgot, that’s not cool.

Play your instrument and sing your song. DO NOT babble on like a fool!!
