Live Nation Recordings
Posted by: Grayson Brulte
After almost a year of putting together the team it looks like Bob Ezrin is going to finally head up Live Nation Recordings according to a mention on page 20 of the Wedbush Morgan 2007 California Dreamin’ Conference Live Nation Presentation.
You can download the report here (PDF).
Rumor has it that the Live Nation Recordings office is going to based in Miami at Michael Cohl’s office. Michael serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Artist Nation and Chief Executive Officer of CPI. I also hear that they are fully staffed and up and running.
Press release anytime soon? This points to why Live Nation would sign Madonna to a deal that includes recording. Looks like another way for Live Nation to loose more money. For a company who’s stock is under preforming this is the last thing as an investor that I would want to see.
What do you think of Live Nation going into the recorded Music Business? Leave us a comment.

Live Nation is attempting to do a full-circle
promotional rennovation of the music industry
starting with the recordings, and ending with
live concerts. They own the merchandising, the
ticketing, the venues, the artists, and now the
recordings. Company is going to be bigger and
better than ticketmaster, and is not going to
be an expendable middle-man, but rather a
pivotal part of the musicians’ performances.
