Financial Times: Facebook opens to outside widgets

According to The Financial Times, Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook has opened up to outside widgets. Could this be the first step in Mark getting ready to take the company to an IPO? Only will time will tell, there is a great article in issue 115 of Fast Company on Facebook and it’s plans for the future. You can read the article online here.

Now with Facebook open to outside widgets, it’s time that the entertainment industry takes notice and starts coding those widgets. As the internet grows and we work our way into Web08, widgets are going to lead the way. They offer a simple solution for businesses to create tools to sell their products and build brand awareness.
