In another move that make no sense, Sony BMG / Epic Records has decided to gut West Coast A&R operations leaving only one person.

First you gut digital and let the person who launched Ben Folds in Second Life and built the mobile infastrutcure get away, then you gut A&R. This just goes proves that Sony BMG is lost and Rolf made the wrong move by forcing Don Ienner out and choosing Clive Davis. I belive that if DI were still there the ship would be running smooth. You might fear him, but he got it. Unlike Sir Howard’s brother who wants to close the West Coast office, but won’t admit it.

You leave the West Coast, you leave the music industry. West Coast has the film indusrty and it needs great music. If you want to close the office like you have said, just do it like a man. Do not hide in 550 Madison.

Now it’s time for Doug Morris to scoop up some more talent.
